The founding team of WeldNova GmbH – led by Fatma – not only won the wild card at this year’s StageTwo 2025, but also won five of the main prizes. The team is delighted with this success. Five years after its founding, Stage Two, an initiative of HHL Leipzig Graduate School of Management and RWTH Aachen University, has developed into the world’s largest stage for investment-ready university start-ups. With a total of over five million euros in investment intentions in prizes and more than 45 start-up teams from 43 universities in over 20 countries, the pitch competition will once again demonstrate the potential of Europe’s universities in 2025.
WeldNova GmbH has developed an approach that revolutionizes the welding process in the manufacture of steel towers for wind turbines, for example. The new technology can secure important competitive advantages for the German wind industry. Thanks to the innovative technology, WeldNova enables manufacturing companies in steel construction to significantly increase their competitiveness. For example, 90% of welding costs can be reduced and production capacities increased by up to 8 times.
