On 30 June 2025, promising start-up teams from all over Germany came together for the Science4Life final award ceremony at the Reinhard Ernst Museum in Wiesbaden. In a festive setting, the finalists presented their business ideas to sponsors, industry experts and the Science4Life network. WeldNova impressed the jury in the Science4Life Energy Cup and received 10,000 euros.
WeldNova GmbH has developed an approach that revolutionizes the welding process in the manufacture of steel towers for wind turbines, for example. The new technology can secure important competitive advantages for the German wind industry. Thanks to the innovative technology, WeldNova enables manufacturing companies in steel construction to significantly increase their competitiveness. For example, 90% of welding costs can be reduced and production capacities increased by up to 8 times.
